Who are the Atlanta Hawks? The NBA team in the news this week
The Hawks beat the Washington Wizards 120-105 on November 4, 2026, in a game that featured former Hawks guard Trae Young, and the two teams were set to meet again in an NBA Cup group game in Atlanta on Friday, November 6. I could not confirm the result of that second game from my sources.

The Atlanta Hawks are a professional basketball team based in Atlanta, Georgia, and they play in the Eastern Conference of the NBA. They play their home games at State Farm Arena. The team has been part of the NBA since the league's early years, and it is one of the league's older franchises.
